The Craggregator: Your One Stop Shop For What's New On The Web's Rock Climbing Sites
What is the Craggregator?
The Craggregator is an web based RSS aggregator. What is RSS you ask? RSS stands for (among other things) Real Simple Syndication. It is basically a standard file format that websites can publish their news in so that it can be viewed quickly and easily by many people. It saves you the time of having to visit many sites constantly to know whether or not they have updated. Want to know more about RSS? Try this link. The Craggregator is specifically hungry for climbing sites and climbing news. It feeds on video updates, photo updates, first ascent news, access news and many other climbing delicacies. It offers you a single place to go on the web to see what's new on many sites, and hopefully many more as RSS becomes more and more common.
How to use the Craggregator
When you come to the main page, the Craggregator lists all of its feeds and the three newest items from those feeds, so you can scroll through quickly and look at all the sites at once. If you see something that interests you, just click on the title and it will take you to that site and to the page where you can continue reading the article, view the video, or view the photo. Also, if you like the few articles on the main page you may select that feed from the right column list of feeds or just click the feed name in the main column to view all the items in that particular feed. You also have the choice of viewing just the titles or the titles and description/intro. This is controled by a button at the top of the main column just below the Craggregator heading.
